Funded by the room
AIMUG is free. No tickets, no paywalls, and every talk goes up on YouTube. Nobody can buy a talk slot: the lineup is picked on merit. Support from the people who come is what keeps it that way.
- Free to attendNo tickets and no paywalls, in person or online.
- Talks on meritPitches are picked on merit. Sponsors can't buy a slot.
- Open by defaultEvery talk is recorded and published for anyone to learn from.
Give monthly
A meetup costs about $150. Ten people giving $15 a month cover it, and monthly support lets us plan the pizza and the stream ahead of time. Every monthly supporter gets a thank-you in the newsletter (only if you want one) and the Supporter role on Discord.

Sponsor an event
Sponsor as yourself or as your company, and reach the people building with AI in Austin, in the room and on YouTube. Sponsors make it better: better food, more events, hackathons. They never buy a talk, and that's why people trust it.

Let's talk

- Food, drinks, API credits or the venue
- Your name on what you fund, in the room and in the recap
Sponsor at a hackathon
By application
- AIMUG co-sponsors larger hackathons with other AI communities and field teams, in Central Texas and around the world.
- Sponsor a track, put up a bounty, or bring your project for a full team to build with.
- Apply first. AIMUG's leadership decides whether it's interesting, aligned and valuable to the community.
- We're community led, so it has to prove its value to senior engineering leaders across Texas, and our members choose what they take on.
How we stay independent
- Sponsors fund a night or an event, never the group.
- No sponsor gets a talk slot or a say in the lineup.
- No exclusive deals.
- We can say no to any sponsor.
- A sponsor's project gets a hackathon team only when our members choose it.

Center for Government and Civic Service, Austin Community College
Our venue and education partner. CGCS gives us the room in exchange for what we bring their students, plus volunteer mentoring for their staff.
Where we started, as Austin LangChain. LangChain does the upstream work: open-source projects like LangGraph and Deep Agents that let us learn new ideas fast and bring them to the community. Many of our talks build on them.
